Energy Systems are the more whimsical physiology of our body, it is more challenging to define but ever present nonetheless. The integration of Energy treatment with any other type of approach improves outcomes in quality of wellness and recovery.
Energy treatment applications on their own can lead to lasting changes in wellness on all levels; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
The use of Energy treatment usually involves hands-on assessment and treatment through gentle holds and movements around the body. At times colour, light, sound and dialogue are used to facilitate the movement of energy. There are no set rules with energy treatment. The most 'true' benefits come from following the wisdom of the body and spirit to hold, trace, expand, clear and rejuvenate as guided through process and intuition.
THE NINE ENERGY SYSTEMS
One of our favourite teachers, Donna Eden, has eloquently qualified our energy anatomy and physiology into 9 systems. These systems have been recognized in other cultures and Donna has put context to how theses energies support and feed our organs, cells, tissues, hormones and every system in the body from immune to electrical.
What Follows is an overview of our Energy Anatomy and Physiology!
Our Innate and Naturally Flowing Energy
Meridians can always be found in the same place day after day. Meridians are the keepers of what acupuncturist call 'acupuncture points'. The function of meridians is to bridge the mind, body and spirit. They keep connection and support to organs their related physiology. On the most defined level, they specifically bring energy to organs, muscles and cells.
An Example:
The Liver Meridian feeds the liver organ and promotes its functions of detoxification, planning/organizing and ensures the smooth flow of emotions.
Major Meridians of the Body
The seven primary chakras found along the spine, bath the organs they supply with vitality and support the functioning of the endocrine or hormone cascades in the body. The chakras are also the holders of our life story. They help to process life experiences and as a result are keepers of memories.
Seven Main Chakras of the Body
The function of the Aura is to provide personal space; physically, psychologically and spiritually. It functions to filter and protect the body from toxic or disruptive energies.
When it is strong and healthy, a person looks radiant to those around them.
The aura is like an antenna, signalling needs/desires to the universe and receiving beneficial energies back.
The Aura and its Seven Layers
The Celtic Weave is a collection of large sweeping figure “8” energies that acts as a web to hold and integrate all the energies of the body together.
The strength of the weave can directly reflect the health of a person.

The Electrics charge and connect cells, organs and other energy systems at an electrical level.
They affect and are most affected by the nervous system and the heart, which are both electric in nature.
The electrics are one of the most dense energy system leading them to be most easily measured by current technology.
The Electrics Energy System Closely Relates to Electricity
Radiant Circuits, also known as Strange Flows or Eight Extraordinary Vessels in Chinese Wellness, support all energy systems but especially the Meridians.
Unlike Meridians, Radiant Circuits have no fixed pathway. Instead they move spontaneously to wherever the body needs energy.
Radiant circuits are highly responsive to thoughts and emotions, activated by joy and positive feelings.
They govern feelings of awe and spiritual connection keeping life inspiring.
Radiants Circuits are the Facilitators to Experiencing the Wonderment in Life
Triple Warmer Energy is an important system to acknowledge in our current lifestyles that tend to be ridden with stress. From an energy systems understanding, Triple warmer is both a meridian and radiant circuit.
It functions to govern our Fight or Flight Stress response and the immune system. Triple warmer is concerned with survival, as a result it has the ability to siphon energy from anywhere else in the body, except directly from the heart, to ensure the survival of the person is maintained.
It is also the system that creates and maintains habits in the body, whether helpful or detrimental.
Stress Affects the Entire Being
Five Rhythms language is influenced by elements of our natural world (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal). These rhythms pulse energy through every energy systems of the body.
Their role is to influence all human events and cycles. Each individual has a primary rhythm that they are imprinted with.
Understanding the rhythms and it’s characteristics (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal), provides insight into our functioning in regards to health issues, behavioural patterns and emotional patterns.
